A Great Game in oil painting. We paint a copy of the famous picture by Mikhail Vrubel, "The Swan Princess". This time one of the most enigmatic and beautiful paintings of Russian art awaits us. Over 5 big streams we will step by step create our own copy of "The Swan Princess" and try to unravel the particular artistic language of Mikhail Vrubel. Why "The Facets of Vrubel"? His painting seems to be assembled from a multitude of separate facets — strokes, shades and reflections. Form does not dissolve in smooth transitions but is built up like a crystal. It is this principle that we will try to understand and apply in our own work. 5 streams — from the first drawing and the large color relationships to the final highlights and details. Portrait of Autumn
Two-day oil painting marathon Autumn here — is not just a season. It becomes an image, a mood, almost a living character. Autumn Finds
Fall has a way of turning the simplest things into little treasures. A rowan branch found on a walk. A few firm porcini mushrooms brought home from the woods. Fallen golden leaves. Fairy-Tale Dreams
A two-day oil painting marathon There is a moment when reality dissolves and a dream begins. White sheets turn into clouds, a mysterious forest rises behind the pillow, and somewhere far away the towers of a fairytale city shimmer… On the two-day marathon "Fairytale Dreams" we will paint an atmospheric picture built on a beautiful contrast: the tender, almost glowing image of a sleeping child and the deep, fantastical world of their dreams. The main thing — you do not have to repeat my painting. For the marathon I have prepared more than 20 additional references with different versions of fairytale dreams. You will be able to choose your own story, mood and magical world — and, using the knowledge gained on the marathon, create your own unique painting. In two days you will not simply repeat the work after the teacher, but will get the tools to create a subject of your own — tender, mysterious and a little magical. Do I need experience to take part in the streams?
No, our streams are designed for any level of preparation — from beginners to experienced artists. Mikhail explains every step in detail, so you will manage even if you have never picked up a brush before.
What materials do I need for the lessons?
The list of materials needed is published before every stream or course. Usually it is a canvas, oil paints in the basic colors, brushes of different sizes and a thinner. We also suggest budget alternatives.
Can I watch recordings of the streams?
Yes, recordings are available depending on the package you choose. With the Basic and Standard packages the recordings are kept forever — you can come back to them at any time.
How do the kids' courses work?
Kids' courses are held as online lessons with detailed video tutorials. A child can work at a comfortable pace. The lessons are adapted to age groups: 5-8, 9-12 and 13-16 years.
Is there feedback from the teacher?
Yes, depending on the package you get a review of your work — a group one or an individual one. There is also a private group of participants where you can ask questions and get support.
How do the packages differ?
